National Sales Network was founded by a group of African-American sales and sales management professionals in Newark, New Jersey, June 1992. The original purpose of the organization was and still is to enhance the skill development of sales and sales management professionals while providing a forum for networking within the profession. Several well-established Black professional organizations served as examples of how instrumental an organization of this magnitude could be in providing networking opportunities for sales professionals.

 

Since then, the organization has grown to nine chapters nationwide. These chapters conduct seminars on subjects such as:

 

     • Selling skills
     • Negotiating skills
     • Job search
     • Time management
     • Organization skills
     • Career management

 

NSN is not an organization based on socializing - our objective is to provide useful skills and experiences to help African-Americans become better Professional Salespeople.

Our mission is to meet the professional and developmental needs of sales and sales management professionals by:

  Providing training & development for Sales Professionals
  Providing career development strategies for Sales Professionals
  Being a resource center for Sales Professionals
  Providing a networking forum for Sales Professionals
  Encouraging philanthropy in Sales Professionals

 

Our Vision

 

To become the organization of choice that supports a diversity of sales professionals in meeting their training and developmental needs.

 

NSN is composed of sales professionals and entrepreneurs from all industries. Sales management professionals are well represented within the group with titles from District Manager to Vice President of Sales. The organization also conducts an annual National Conference in August of every year.
